This is my second alarm recording produced with lmms (ami evan) then imported in audacity where i recorded my own voice and added a vocoder to make it sound more robotic.

After many years of 'lurking' on this website and downloading and using sounds for my projects, i am happy to hopefully contribute something useful to this site. I am not a professional audio tech or anything related, but i do own a zoom h5 recorder and had to make some recordings for one of my multimedia projects. This recording was made at the harbour of scheveningen, the netherlands on february 7th around 22. 00 pm.

In the middle of the recording the monks practice their ceremony with drums and without drums only repeating something that sounds like a mantra. The tunnel is a highly reverberant space and as the train goes by it creates sounds that resembles the orchestral percussion, timpani. Background noise: birds. The hissing sound of a hot aluminium saucepan being dipped twice into cold water. Kind of slow - the pan isn't dropped into the water, just dipped. Recorded on a terrible logitech computer mic, but sounds quite clean.

I recorded the sound of my alarm clock using a zoom h4n recorder and a rode m3 microphone. I can picture this sound being used at the start of an audio documentary that discusses the morning routine of someone who has to wake up early everyday. Maybe even the start of a film; this loud and obnoxious noise is an instant attention-grabber.

In this sample you hear a recording from inside a well sound insulated room, directly under the roof of a house. Strong rain hints the roof and produces low frequency muted sounds. In the background you hear the constant noise of the rain, coming through the window. There are also a few raindrops hitting the glass of the window.
